Compressor Controlled Pressure Maintenance

The operation principals for compressor controlled pressure maintenance are that a compressor controls the pressure on the gas side of the vessel.  If the set pressure is exceeded, the overflow valve opens and releases air from the expansion vessel.  With the air pressure dropping, water flows out of the system into the expansion vessel.  If the system pressure falls below the programmed setting, the compressor cuts in, and feeds air to the gas side of the expansion vessel.  As a result, water is forced back into the system.

The key features and advantages of the Reflex Reflexomat system are:

  • Tight pressure control within ±0.1bar.

  • Single or duplex compressor driven units for up to 24MW system capacity.

  • Expansion vessels from 200L to 5,000L, with options for multiple secondary vessels to be added.

  • Operation up to 8.5bar system pressure.

  • Master-slave operation for critical applications

  • Upgradable with additional make-up and degassing equipment.  Control software in-built.

The following video demonstrates the features, benefits and advantages of using the Reflexomat unit for dynamic pressure maintenance.
