Refrigerant Dehumidifiers

Air Change Precise Control Units (PCU) use the cool and reheat principle, through variable DX refrigeration, to achieve close control of both temperature and humidity.  The large array of design options available allow the PCU to meet the needs of any mission-critical application.

Energy efficiency is a primary concern of the PCU, and this is achieved through various features including the utilisation of waste condenser heat for the reheat function, the use of inverter compressors and the latest refrigerant control technologies, EC fans, and the option of integrated air-to-air heat or energy recovery.

Core applications include:

  • Museums & archive storage facilities;

  • Manufacturing process & food industry

  • Pharmaceutical facilities

  • Scientific laboratories

  • Hospitals

There are three distinct models within the Air Change PCU range:

  • the PCU-N where there is no spill air and plant room space prohibits the PCU-S solution;

  • the PCU-E for applications that have spill air available to minimise refrigeration energy by precooling and dehumidifying the air in an enthalpy heat exchanger;

  • the PCU-S for applications with no spill air but can accommodate heat exchangers to precool and reheat the air to reduce refrigeration cooling capacity.

These all feature complex control algorithms within the Air Change ClimaSync Control System to deliver precise control of air temperature and humidity at the lowest whole of life cost.
